New publication: short versus standard corridor in the Six-Minute Walk Test for older adults with controlled hypertension
New month, new publication from our lab. CeprLab announces its latest peer-reviewed publication.
The publication
Pepera G., Papageorgiou M., Xenofontos T., Kalatzis K., Antoniou V. (2026). Short Versus Standard Corridor Six-Minute Walk Test in Older Adults with Controlled Arterial Hypertension. Applied Sciences, 16(13), 6438.
The finding
15 m or 30 m corridor in the Six-Minute Walk Test (6MWT)? Our study shows that, although the two protocols show good agreement, they are not interchangeable. The finding underscores the importance of standardizing the 6MWT for the reliable assessment of older adults with controlled arterial hypertension, in both clinical practice and research.
